If you've been following along on Instagram or TikTok, you'll know things have been busy on our end. We wanted to pull back the curtain a bit and share what's actually going on behind the scenes at Loot Vault, the wins, the work-in-progress, and what's coming next.
Our First Whatnot Live Stream
We finally took the plunge and went live on Whatnot, and it was a success! Lou hosted our first ever card break, and honestly, the energy in the chat was everything we hoped for. Watching everyone bid on spots, react to pulls in real time, and just enjoy opening packs together was such a good reminder of why we started this in the first place. Huge thank you to everyone who tuned in and took part.
This is only the beginning, expect more shows soon, and we'll be announcing dates on our socials as we lock them in.
New Stock on the Way
We've been busy widening our supplier network to bring you more variety. Alongside our usual UK and Japan-sourced Pokémon, Lorcana, and One Piece product, we're now working with a new Hong Kong-based supplier to bring in Simplified Chinese Pokémon cards. We're starting small with a test order to make sure quality and reliability are up to scratch before scaling up, but if that goes well, expect to see Simplified Chinese product joining the lineup.
Building This Around Everything Else
Something we don't talk about enough, Loot Vault is a labour of love that happens in the gaps. We're both working our daytime jobs, and on top of that we're in the middle of redecorating, so between work, painting walls, and everything in between, Loot Vault gets built in every spare moment we can find. Evenings, weekends, quick bursts here and there, it all adds up. It's a lot, but it's worth it, and we wouldn't have it any other way.
Thank You
None of this happens without the support of everyone who's shopped with us, followed along, or just cheered us on. We're a small, scrappy team building something we genuinely love, and we're so glad you're here for it.
More updates soon, including more Whatnot shows. Stay tuned!
